The inspiration for the song, Razormouth, was drawn from the many tales told of Vampires and werewolves.
The song Hybrid clearly references the Razormouth as an evil Vampiric entity, brought back to life through a ritual that would dam all light.

Razormouth tells the story of a dark being awakened from its slumber, through the chant first heard in its song "Razormouth, Nocturnal Creature of, Razormouth, immortal terror of nights, Razormouth, in the dark you come to life, Razormouth, now is the time to feed"
